Hello, I'm Alissa 👋🏻
Creative Photographer
I am Mohawk, Turtle Clan, from Six Nations of the Grand River, with mixed heritage. I grew up in Hespeler and spent many years in Toronto, where I had a successful career in film and television working in special effects makeup. I also taught makeup for several years before returning to school to study marketing and design. Creativity and art have always been at the heart of what I do, and photography has been a long-standing passion that I now pursue with purpose
and excitement.
I am drawn to real moments, honest connection, and the stories people carry with them. My work centres around documenting life as it unfolds, whether that’s a family laughing together, a corporate event, a cultural gathering or a creative vision
brought to life.
My approach
I bring the same care and intention to every shoot, whether I’m capturing the energy of a live performance, the professionalism of a brand or event, or the quiet, meaningful moments shared between loved ones. I aim to create images that feel authentic, impactful, and true to the people and stories at the centre of them.
I’m proudly Indigenous-owned and based in Cambridge, serving Kitchener-Waterloo and the Greater Toronto Area.
Wherever I’m shooting, my approach stays the same: show up with openness, honour the moment, and capture it with heart.
